Ms. Benson joined Capital Southwest in 2015. Previously, she spent six years in public accounting with Montgomery Coscia Greilich and Rothstein Kass/KPMG. Her primary discipline was financial statement attestation, with a specialized focus on investment companies, including private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, fund-of-funds and related management companies. She also served as a controller for a hedge fund based in Dallas. Ms. Benson earned a Bachelor in Accounting from Binghamton University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She lives in Dallas with her two children.
