Gary L. Martin, President and CEO

Gary joined Capital Southwest in 1972 and served as chief financial officer, subsequently serving as Vice President and Secretary—Treasurer. From 1979 to 2007, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Whitmore Manufacturing Company, a portfolio company of Capital Southwest. His previous experience included a financial management position within the commercial development industry. He earned a BBA degree from the University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
